Kathy Hansen-Sweeney

Kathy became the Director of Philanthropy for the Mills-Peninsula Hospital Foundation of Sutter Health in March of 2018. In this position she raises funds to support the work of the Mills-Peninsula Medical Center, which includes the Dorothy Schneider Center located in San Mateo, California.

She has experience working in both community-based and global health care. Prior to joining Sutter Health, Kathy worked for the Myelin Repair Foundation, which works to apply collaborative business models to medical research with the aim of accelerating the identification and development of myelin repair treatments for individuals with multiple sclerosis. In addition to work as a development consultant, she also has experience with the International Rescue Committee and the United Nations World Food Programme.

Kathy holds a BFA from the University of Arizona and an MPA in Nonprofit Organizational Management from the University of Colorado at Denver.
