Angele Bienvenue Ishimwe
Angele Bienvenue Ishimwe is the Director of Primary Care Research and the principal investigator for the Hope Initiative, a research project to understand and address factors that affect hopefulness among health care workers and health care recipients. She is a graduate of the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology. She worked to develop TIP’s Education Model that has been implemented at all health centers working with the NHI Clinical Program. She continues to work closely with nurses to provide ongoing training in both the quality and presentation of health education. Her experience with frontline health workers to improve maternal and child health has given her a deep understanding of pathways for health system strengthening to best serve the community. Angele is passionate about promoting health care workers’ resilience and reducing health disparities. She is continuing her post graduate education at the University of Rwanda, Huye campus, where she is studying “Quality Control and pharmaceutical analysis”.
