Alphonsine Mukankuranga serves as Implementation Support Assistant. Skilled in social sciences, she has a professional background in planning, conducting and implementation of SBC activities for increased health. She is also skilled in community mobilization and supporting and coordinating Community Health Worker activities.
Prior to joining TIP, Alphonsine worked on social affairs for the nutrition program at Sorwathe Ltd, working to lower the malnutrition rate. She also previously worked as the community health supervisor at Rushashi Health Center and Nutritionist at Rwanda Red Cross. Before entering the health field, Alphonsine worked as a primary school teacher at Nyagasambu Primary School.
In 2011, Alphonsine was recognized as the Best Trainer in Maternal Health and Social Behavior Change by the Rwandan Ministry of Health and JH Piego.
Alphonsine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Kigali Independent University and an advanced level certificate in social work from GS Notre Dame du Bon Consel of Byumba.
