Adeodatus Nizeyimana
As the Deputy Director of Implementation at TIP Global Health, Adeodatus supports the expansion of TIP innovations beyond the catchment area of Ruli District Hospital. He is a Registered Nurse with the National council of nurses and midwives in Rwanda. He has an Advanced Diploma in General nursing from University of Rwanda and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health from Catholic university of Rwanda. He is currently completing his Masters in Public Health In Mount Kenya University. He is a self motivated, innovative mindset, teamwork spirit and data driven decision making.
Prior to TIP Global health, Adeodatus served as nurse in Gakenke District for over sixteen years- working in the HIV program, Outpatient Department and community services. He served as the Director of Rukura Health Center where he contributed tremendously in maternal child health, reduction of malnutrition cases and elimination of HIV-AIDS transmission among HIV exposed infant in partnership with TIP Global Health and Partners in Health.
He has managerial skills and served as Dean of Heads of Health centers in Gakenke District and member of various committees such as District health management Team, District Steering Committee, District plan to eliminate malnutrition, District task force to fight Malaria, all aimed to enhance health and well-being of Gakenke district Population. He also participated in different workshops with different partners at District and national level in developing and revising tools used by community health workers, District health strategic plan. He worked with Partners in Health/All Babies Count and worked closely with TIP Global Health to implement all its health innovations. Now, he is the District chairperson of Rwanda Nurses and Midwives Union (RNMU) in Gakenke.
