Predictive care – The Future we Build Together
As we begin 2026, we want to take a moment to thank you, our partners and supporters, for standing with us. Over the past year, your commitment has helped bring trusted, community-driven primary care to women and children across Rwanda, Burundi, and Somalia. Together, we’ve expanded E-Heza to new communities, strengthened health systems, and restored hope in places where care had once been interrupted.
These aren’t just achievements; they’re the foundation of something more lasting, a future built on trust, equity, and the power of local health systems.
Now, the most exciting part of our journey lies ahead.
With millions of real-time data points now captured through E-Heza, we’re entering a new era, one where care moves beyond reacting to health crises and begins to anticipate them. In partnership with our data science collaborators at Palindrome Data and with support from Grand Challenges Canada, we are developing predictive models designed to identify early signs of maternal complications, childhood stunting, undernutrition, and even maternal depression.
This work lays the foundation for a future where health systems can respond faster and more effectively not just after a crisis has occurred, but before it begins. What makes this innovation especially meaningful is how deeply grounded it is in local realities. By building ethical, context-driven AI tools, we’re ensuring that technology enhances, rather than replaces, the trusted relationships between families and frontline health workers.
At the heart of this future is a simple but powerful goal: to ensure that no mother is missed, no child is overlooked, and every health worker is equipped to deliver timely, compassionate care.
Thank you for being part of this mission. Your support is helping us shape a smarter, stronger, and more equitable future; one grounded in real data, human connection, and lasting trust.
Here’s to 2026, a year of deeper impact, smarter tools, and health systems that continue to grow from the roots we’ve planted together.
