Maria Adolfo serves as TIP’s Hope Coordinator, US. She supports work on TIP’s US-based initiative in Watsonville, California called “Utilizing a Hope Framework to Increase Engagement in Care Among Indigenous Language Speakers from Mexico in an Agricultural Community in California.”
Maria is a Certified Community Health Worker from the Oaxacan community of San Martin Peras, Oaxaca. She is very passionate about working to improve the lives of indigenous communities. She enjoys time in nature and the forest and cherishes spending time with her family. She learned to speak Mixteco from her grandparents and hopes to keep her language alive and hopes to see many more resources created and provided to indigenous communities in their native languages. Maria looks forward to learning many new things throughout her journey with TIP Global Health.
